Came in on a local's recommendation and they did not disappoint! Walking in and seeing such a fresh locally caught selection immediately inspired my inner chef. The service was quite friendly even while extremely busy. The clams were so fresh and tender, the mussels sweet, the oysters divine and the lobsters were cracked by hand and didn't need butter!

Just a simple five star review: Always fresh, good prices, friendly and knowledgable about everything in the shop. Plenty of lobsters and usually a couple different kinds of salmon and other fillets. Occasional specials like smoked fish and other delicious things from the sea. We recently bought dozens of super fresh local Oysters there ($1 to $1.50 each) and they packed them with ice and lemon so we could shuck them on the beach.

During a recent trip to Maine, we stopped by plant's for some fresh lobsters. The shop is small, but there's plenty to choose from, including shrimp, haddock, lobster, and even a fresh produce stand right next door. The people working were helpful, and kind! And the lobsters turned out delicious.

Plant's was recommended to me as a place to purchase fresh seafood and boy aren't they right !!!!! I usually by the haddock and scallops and they taste so ever fresh and the frozen jumbo shrimp is a great price per lb . They have fresh unpeeled jumbo shrimp . I hate peeling fresh shrimp but it was worth it . Recommended AAA+++ Recommended ;)

Plants Seafood has the freshest seafood anywhere. We are very picky about our seafood, and Plants has always been top-notch. We've enjoyed their halibut, swordfish, haddock, salmon, scallops, oysters, cherry stone clams, Maine shrimp, crabmeat, even their chowder is great! Next door is a local farm stand you should visit too!

So I'm from the midwest and the cost of good, fresh seafood is outrageous. My wife is from Connecticut originally and we used to stock up on seafood when we visited. But we weren't hitting CT on this trip. We more or less stumbled across Plant's since we stayed just up the road at the hotel. They were great, they had plenty of product, reasonable prices, and they were patient with us packaging up fish and scallops in multiple bags for freezing in one-meal portions. They do sell lobsters but you can only get them live but not steamed.
